Kili Clinicians Association (KCA)

The Kili Clinicians Association is a non-profit association founded in Catalonia with the aim of offering healthcare, teaching and research support in northern Tanzania.

International collaboration

Since 2009, the KCA has collaborated with the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo) and the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center – MoshiIn addition, the University of Barcelona (UB) maintains a Memorandum of Understanding with the KCMUC, strengthening academic and healthcare cooperation.
We also work with the
Mount Meru Hospital of Arusha, where we have financed a new orthopedics and traumatology surgical block.

Dentistry training in Tanzania

Currently, Tanzania only has one Faculty of Dentistry for 60 million inhabitantsFor this reason, the KCA promotes the Consortium of New Tanzania Dental Schools (CNTDS) to create faculties in Dodoma, Mbeya and ZanzibarThe 2023, the SEPA signed a memorandum of support for periodontics training in Tanzania.

Academic and research experience

Dentistry students have participated in welfare volunteers, and the KCA has collaborated in scientific publications and research projectsWith the support of the Vice-Rectorate for International Policy of the UB, we have obtained Erasmus grants for doctoral programs and academic mobility.

Participation of residents of the Master's Degree in Periodontics and Periimplantology

The residents of Master in Periodontology and Periimplantology of the UB can perform training and care stays in Tanzania, actively participating in KCA projects and contributing to the improvement of oral health in the country.
