Research lines related to the Master's Degree in Periodontics and Periimplantology:
Line 1: Etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal and peri-implant diseases
Analysis of the causal factors and biological mechanisms involved in the onset and evolution of pathologies affecting periodontal and peri-implant tissues. The impact of risk factors, immunoinflammatory responses and microbiological interactions in these processes is addressed.
Line 2: Clinical evaluation of diagnostic methods and therapeutic options in periodontics, peri-implant diseases and implantology.
Study of the efficacy and safety of advanced diagnostic techniques and treatments focused on the control and resolution of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, with emphasis on adapting to the specific needs of each patient.
Line 3: Interventions with dental implants and bone regeneration protocols
Research into the reliability and clinical performance of dental implants and bone regeneration methods, with the aim of improving surgical techniques, optimizing the materials used and ensuring lasting results in both functionality and aesthetics.
Line 4: Application of new technologies in periodontics and implantology
Development and integration of innovative technologies, such as the use of lasers, computer-guided surgery and digital diagnostic tools, to increase clinical effectiveness and improve the patient experience.
Line 5: Prevention and management of postoperative complications
Study of complications arising from surgical procedures in periodontics and implantology, including complications related to healing, infections and implant failure, with the aim of establishing preventive strategies and effective treatment protocols.
